How to Find Us
The village of Glengarriff is located on Ireland’s south west coast. Nestled in a beautiful wooded glen (valley) which opens out onto a spectacular harbour. The name of the village comes from the Irish ” Gleann Garbh” which means rough glen and refers to the amazingly rugged hills which surround the village. Glengarriff Lodge is situated on it’s own estate of 40 acres and the house itself is built on a 2 acre man made island in the middle of Glengarriff river.
Glengarriff is 3 km from the Lodge. To find the Lodge you take the Kenmare road out of Glengarriff and then take the turn for Barley Lake, we’re 2 km out this quiet road.
Bantry is the nearest town and is 17km (20mins by car)
Kenmare is only 29 km from the Lodge, 30 minutes away over some of the most spectacular roads in Ireland. The route takes you through Turners Tunnels and over the Caha pass. Kenmare is one of Ireland’s gourmet centres and has a wide range of restaurants to suite all tastes.
Cork Airport is 92 Km away and the journey to Glengarriff takes approximately 1.5 hours
